Good Afternoon folks and welcome to another weekly update from Des Moines Gaming Club. Believe it or not we have a completely normal and full schedule ahead of us this week here at the Club. Casual play is available today till 4:15 and then again from 6:30-10pm as we host the Norwalk Youth Esports league every Tuesday from 4:30-6:30. We are open from 1pm-10pm Wednesday and Thursday, then from 1pm-11pm on Friday and Saturday, and finally we are open from 11am-5pm on Sunday.

Our weekly tournament schedule is normal as well with the FGC night Wednesday from 6-10pm with official tournaments in Guilty Gear Strive and Tekken 7 at 7pm. Thursday night is Smash Bros with Squad Strike and P+ at 6:30 followed by singles in Ultimate and Melee at around 7:15-7:30. Friday night is FIFA at 7pm and Sunday is Rocket League at 1pm.

A big announcement we have today is the return of the B-Side FGC Tournament which will happen on Sunday, October 23rd. We will have tournaments in Vampire Savior & Dragon Ball FighterZ at 12:30pm followed by GranBlue Fantasy: Versus & Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike at 2pm. There will also be a side tournament in Samurai Shodown. Venue fee is $7 and entry into any tournament is an additional $5 for the pot. Can’t wait to see everyone there.

That’l do it for updates from the Club. There’s always a lot going on in the world of esports but this time of year I always have to point out that the biggest and best esports tournament in the world is happening and thats the League of Legends World Championship. This year it is taking place in New York and the group stages are happening right now. If you want to watch, the easiest place to go do so will be Twitch where it will be at the top of the page because it will certainly have the highest viewership.

That’l do it for updates from the Club, thanks for watching and we’ll see you next week!
