Tuesday Telecast November 16th, 2021

Good afternoon folks and welcome to another weekly update from Des Moines Gaming Club. We have had some changes recently to our weekly tournament schedule so that will be the first thing we’ll go over in today’s video. Moving forward for the foreseeable future Tuesdays will be just casual play from 1pm-10pm. Wednesday’s will be casual play from 1pm-10pm and FIFA 22 tournaments at 7pm. Thursday’s the Club is open from 1pm-10pm and Smash Bros Ultimate and Melee doubles at 6:30 with singles starting at 7pm. Friday the club is open from 1pm-11pm for casual play and we will have our FGC tournament and casual play start at 7pm. Saturday’s we like to leave open for casual play and special events so the club is open from 1pm-11pm with no weekly tournaments, and then Sunday we are open from 11am-5pm with Rocket League weeklies starting at 1pm. As always, you can view our current schedule on our website at dsmgamingclub.com. For Smash Bros, and FGC tournaments, we like to use smash.gg to help with sign up and bracket management so be sure to follow our Twitter and Facebook pages where you can find those smashgg links and other updates.

As many of you will already know, yesterday us gamers got treated to a nice surprise with the early release of the Halo Infinite multiplayer! It was slated to release in early December but because yesterday was the 20th anniversary of the original Halo, 343 industries decided to give us the free to play multiplayer early. Many people saw this coming as there were clues on social media but having played it myself, I am pretty pleased with it. The servers ran well, matches are easy to get into and the gameplay feels pretty nice in my opinion. Halo multiplayer is a breath of fresh air because it is so different from any other fps game. It will be exciting to see how the game is received by players over the next month or so. Keep in mind it is technically in beta still so we can expect changes to be made on the fly which will hopefully make it even better.

We of course have Halo Infinite available to play here at the Club so be sure to stop on by and try it out for yourself. As is always the case this time of year, we have got a plethora of new games coming out which is a lot of fun and next on the docket this weekend will be Battlefield 2042 releasing in full. We’ll have that too and we can’t wait to try that out. That means we will have added Halo, Battlefield, and Call of Duty Vanguard to our game library over the course of a three week period!

Because both Halo and Battlefield will release this week, we are hosting a celebration event here at the club on Saturday this week the 20th. For just $5 you can play both Halo and Battlefield all day and also talk with other fans of the games and watch live streams of the games in our lounge. It’s always fun playing games upon release so be sure to come share in the fun with us and other gaming fans!

Gonna keep it short and sweet today so that will do it for this week’s update from Des Moines Gaming Club! Thanks so much for watching and if you ever have any questions please reach out to us via email at info@dsgamingclub.com, or message us on Twitter or Facebook, OR call us at 515-850-2197. Have a good one!
