Good Morning gamers and welcome back to another Tuesday Telecast from Des Moines Gaming Club. Des Moines’s new Smash Bros. regional, Run, Don’t Walk, is this Saturday! Be sure to sign up by the end of the day Thursday to get the pre-registration discount of $5. You can sign up by going to start.gg and searching for Run, Don’t Walk. This new regional features singles in doubles in Smash Bros. Melee and Ultimate as well as tournaments in P+, and Rivals of Aether. There are nearly 200 people signed up not to mention over $1,000 in pot bonus so you definitely don’t want to miss out on the action. The best players in the midwest and beyond are going to be there so get signed up today. It’s being held at the HIlton Garden Inn in West Des Moines and is being ran by Slowking, GDubs, Trejohn, Gunla, and the rest of the Iowa Smash scene that you know and love. This is going to be a great event for the gaming community of central Iowa and I personally can’t wait to see it take place on Saturday.

Moving on to our schedule here at the Club this week. We’ve got a completely normal schedule ahead with casual play available today-Thursday from 1pm-10p, Friday & Saturday 1pm-11pm, and Sunday 11am-5pm. Our weekly tournament schedule is normal with FGC night Wednesday with official tournaments in Guilty Gear Strive and Tekken 7 plus plenty of friendlies in a host of other fighting games. Thursday night is our Smash Bros. weekly with doubles starting at 6:30 followed by singles in Ultimate and Melee at 7pm. Friday night at 7pm is FIFA 22 and Sunday at 1pm is Rocket League.

Recently, a youth esports club has booked Des Moines Gaming Club for Tuesdays from 4:30pm to 6:30pm for 10 Tuesday’s in a row from September 13th through November 15th. So, during this time the club will be closed for this private event. We are so glad to be able to host this youth esports club and if anyone ever has an interest in starting their own youth esports club we can certainly help you organize and can of course provide you the space and equipment you need as well so feel free to reach out to us.

Well, that’l do it for this week’s update. Thanks for watching and we’ll see you next week!
